OffTheGridVault is a pocket-sized knowledge vault - maps, a private AI assistant, survival guides and a Wikipedia library, all on one USB drive. No internet. No cloud. No installs.
No spam. Occasional building updates, and an email when it's ready.
β You're on the list. We'll be in touch.
How it works
Qwen 3.5 runs directly in your browser on your computer's graphics chip. Its answers draw on the library and guides on the drive, and list the sources so you can read them yourself. No API key, no subscription. Needs a recent browser with WebGPU.
OpenStreetMap maps of every continent, down to residential streets. Search over 230,000 places by name - "Wien" finds Vienna too - and fly straight there.
Over 200,000 reviewed Wikipedia articles with their images, the WikiMed medical encyclopedia, the Wikivoyage travel guide, and topic libraries from history to chemistry. Search titles or the full text of every article.
The original pages of US Army survival and first aid manuals, FEMA's preparedness guide, the USDA home canning guide and Nuclear War Survival Skills - diagrams included, searchable page by page.
Plug the drive into a Windows, Mac or Linux computer and open one file in your browser. No app to install, nothing to set up. Phones and tablets aren't supported yet.
Zero telemetry, zero accounts, zero connectivity required. Your data never leaves the drive. What you read stays with you.
